Lotte's Acquisition of L&M Mayson Co., Ltd.
On October 24, LOTTE Confectionery, a prominent snack manufacturer from Korea, made an announcement regarding its decision to acquire L&M Mayson, one of Myanmar's top bakery firms. This strategic move is aimed at bolstering LOTTE's footprint in Southeast Asia and enhancing its brand value as a global company.
The Korean company intends to purchase an 80 percent stake in L&M Mayson for 76.9 billion won (US$68.08 million).
