ICBC Grand Opening Ceremony in Myanmar

On September 8, 2015, ICBC Yangon Branch officially opened its doors, marking the entrance of the first Chinese commercial bank into the Burmese market. The establishment of the Yangon Branch not only enhances ICBC's presence in Southeast Asia but also creates a new platform for better serving enterprises venturing into the global market and fostering trade and economic relations between China and Myanmar. The opening ceremony in Yangon was attended by dignitaries including Deputy Finance Minister of Myanmar U Maung Maung Thein, Governor of Yangon U Myint Swe, Deputy Governors of the Burmese Central Bank U Hset Aung and Daw Khin Soe U, ICBC President Yi Huiman, and Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Hong Liang.
